Just before Christmas I had a lovely day in Faversham with my dear friend Annie! We visited the Christmas Market, skipped out to Harty Ferry and had a marvellous meal at The Three Mariners! I was charmed!!!
I had never been to Faversham and what amazed me was how bloody easy it was to get to on the train! 10 minutes from Canterbury East.
So I decided to head over for brunch and a mooch by myself!
Again it was so easy and Faversham is simply laid out and fairly small so it was easy for me to navigate my way around!
Even without a bustling market, dancers, people and samples of warm spiced cider Faversham was still extremely charming.
I had intended to revisit The Yard, a tiny spot for brunch with a big reputation but sadly it was full to brimming! So I headed to Jittermugs which was entirely satisfactory as a brunch venue.
Then I just simply mooched! Little streets, cute buildings, wonderful local produce and vintage shops.
My favourite place was Goodness Gracious! A vintage shop combined with a cafe! The menu was in a book, I sat amongst brightly coloured beads, teacups, gold sprayed pine cones and jugs hanging from the ceiling.
I wandered a few minutes to catch the train quite content that I explored Faversham and would return soon.
