Five Ways to Wellbeing - Number 2.

Number 2 of the Five ways to Wellbeing is: Be active!

Hmmmmm, have I mentioned that before? I have explored the importance and benefits of exercise in a previous post, so, today, why not get physical? There is really no excuse - not even during the working day!

Here are a few ideas for being active whilst at work.

Take the stairs not the lift - up and down.

Go for a walk at lunchtime, even if it’s around your workplace! No excuse if it’s bad weather. Even better go for a swim or an express workout!

Walk into work - perhaps with a colleague – so you can ‘connect’ as well.

Get off the bus one stop earlier than usual and walk the final part of your journey to work.

Organise a work sporting activity, a bike ride, a night out dancing or a charity event that involves activity.

Do some ‘easy exercise’, like stretching, before you leave for work in the morning. Do as much as you can before the kettle boils.

Walk to someone’s desk instead of calling or emailing - connecting again.

Identify a coffee shop, cafe or a place you would love to visit and walk there during your lunch hour.
