Taking notice is number three in the Fit Girl Factory series of Five ways to Wellbeing.
It has been shown that being aware of what is taking place in the present directly enhances your well-being and savouring ‘the moment’ can help to reaffirm your life priorities.
The advantage of this is that is dramatically improves, strengthens and broadens awareness. And heightened awareness also enhances your self-understanding and allows you to make positive choices based on your own values and motivations.
This one is a bit trickier as I believe this is something you ned to practice and work on.
So, actively decide to take some time to enjoy the moment, the environment and the people around you.
Take notice of how your family and friends are feeling or acting today - is it different today, why?
Take a different route on your journey to or from work - look at the people, houses, trees, sky around you. What is different? What do you like?
Visit a new place for lunch. Take your time to enjoy your surroundings, read the menu from start to finish and appreciate the staff.
